According to Advanced NFL Stats , the Browns are 32nd in total team efficiency and the Lions are 31st (Football Outsiders actually has the Lions 32nd, Raiders 31st, and the Browns 30th). This will be a game played by two of the most terrible teams in the NFL....

Josh Cribbs' neck is still a little sore, but he doesn't mind sticking it out for Baltimore's Dwan Edwards. Cribbs said Friday he expects to play in the Cleveland Browns' game at Detroit on Sunday, which will be six days after he was strapped to a backboard and wheeled into an ambulance following a loss to the Ravens on Monday night. Edwards was fined $5,000 by the league this week for smashing a forearm...

Losing makes Rex Ryan cry. Sappy movies are Rob Ryan's weakness. Together, the brothers have had plenty to shed a tear about this season. Jets coach Rex Ryan cried in front of his team Monday following New York's 24-22 loss to Jacksonville on Sunday. He later poked fun at himself by showing up to a news conference with a box of tissues. Cleveland Browns defensive coordinator Rob Ryan said his children...

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Kansas City Chiefs The Chiefs come into this game missing two players that they expected to be their top offensive players this season in running back Larry Johnson and wide receiver Dwayne Bowe. Johnson is now a member of the Cincinnati Bengals and Bowe is serving a four game suspension imposed by the NFL. Facing a team as defensively proficient as the Steelers, it will interesting...

Broncos linebacker Andra Davis is grateful for many things these days — and one of the items on that list is that he is no longer with the Cleveland Browns.

We've got some more Pittsburgh Steelers / Kansas City Chiefs content coming before their Sunday matchup at Arrowhead Field, but on to my weekly picks. Been doing so well I figured I'd continue on. Pittsburgh Steelers (6-3) @ Kansas City Chiefs This would be a signature win for the new Todd Haley regime, but I don't see it happening. In fact, I like the Steelers to come out angry and play a ferocious...

There has been a lot of chatter recently about the notion that LeBron James could somehow help the Cleveland Browns on the football field this season. In fact, earlier this week, James said that he could be “really good” if he put his time & energy into it, and the Browns (seemingly jokingly) even entertained [...]

Woo more Thursday night football that I can't watch because I don't get the NFL Network. Woo. 1. Carolina Panthers (-3 1/2) vs. Miami Dolphins No more Ronny Brown means no more diesel wildcat. All wildcat will now be run with the 130 pound gazelle Pat White. It won't be very effective and the Dolphins offense will struggle because of it. 2. Philadelphia Eagles (-3 1/2) at Chicago Bears The Eagles and...

There is no joy in Cleveland, the mighty Quinn has gone three and out; kick return man and wildcat Cribbs has gone down. CHICAGO – Cleveland Browns running back Jamal Lewis plans to retire at the end of the season. Lewis told reporters after the Browns' 30-6 loss Sunday at Chicago that his 10th season will be his final one, adding, "When I talk, I mean what I say and I think you all know that." Lewis, who missed two games in late September and early October with a hamstring injury, ran for 69 yards on 16 carries against...

CHICAGO – Pounded the previous week and losers of two straight, the Chicago Bears couldn't afford to go down again. Good thing for them that Derek Anderson and the Cleveland Browns were in town. Jay Cutler threw for 225 yards, Matt Forte ran for two touchdowns and the Bears (4-3) beat the bumbling Browns 30-6 Sunday. Anderson had another miserable day for the Browns (1-7) and was lifted for Brady Quinn,...
