by Bill Feig - AP View full size photo » You'll have to forgive me for stealing Sheryl Crow's song title as part of the story headline but in this case it is quite apropos. After all, few things are as synonymous with football as a female singer/songwriter approaching her fifties, right? The Saints host the Carolina Panthers on Sunday and they'll have an opportunity to go 8-0 for the first time...

As the NFL reaches the mid point of this bizarre 2009 season, we are witnessing a huge drop off of good and not as good teams. The long line of teams struggling is not a good thing for the NFL, and this will probably be brought up as the league tries to get a new collective bargaining agreement with the players before the 2010 season begins. There has been some good news in the league, and most of...

While the Minnesota Vikings certainly impressed with a 38-26 win against Green Bay in Lambeau Field, the fall of the previously undefeated Denver Broncos has now left just two unbeaten teams remaining in the league. The Indianapolis Colts eeked past the San Francisco 49ers, 18-14, while the New Orleans Saints survived a late onside-kick and [...] Added by: egriffin Viewed: 1 time(s) Tags/Keywords:...

Last year DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart made a running tandem that we know today as "Double Trouble". D-Will was the speedster and J-Stew was the Bruiser also known as "Smash and Dash" but because of the Tennessee Cry Babies it became what it is today. Double Trouble and the Carolina Panthers offensive line is now the backbone of our team. John Fox has always tried to establish...

Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin sat out Arizona's practice on Wednesday but said he expects to play in the Cardinals' game Sunday at Chicago. Boldin's sprained right ankle took a shot in last Sunday's 34-21 loss to the Carolina Panthers. The three-time Pro Bowler first injured the ankle against Houston on Oct. 11. He didn't practice last week until Friday and said he expected the same thing this week.

Somehow, the Bills surrendered a ridiculous 318 rushing yards to the Jets — including a team-record 210 to Thomas Jones — and won last week. Now along come the Panthers, who last week rushed for 267 yards —DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart each went over 100 — in beating the Bucs.
