by Andrew , The Grand National Championships I'm not here to make the claim that Favre in 2007 would bring a downgrade to Rodgers in 2008. The asshole was awesome. But you know what? It was a lot more supporting cast aided then everybody's saying and the folks at Bring Back Brett Favre are nothing more than terrorists. Polite, well-meaning, unorganized terrorists. But by the loosest sense of the word?...

by DMtShooter , Five Tool Tool 10. Aaron Rodgers is better than Brett Favre 9. The fact that a WNBA team has hired a 50-year-old player does not say good things about the competitive level of the league 8. If some employer offered you ridiculous money to go to Europe, you'd go too 7. Unless a minor league team is having a brawl, manager meltdown, or topical publicity gag, no one gives a damn about...

I think I just witnessed Brett Favre's agent coming to terms with the Packers on live TV. Favre comes back, is acknowledged to be the best QB, and there is an "open competition" with Aaron Rodgers for the job. But who cares about the deal. The point is that they seem to have negotiated it on live TV while staring into cameras in separate studios. That's a new phenomenon, right? Maybe it was a put on....

A look at some of the signal-callers who will get extra attention as training camp opens. As if replacing a legend weren't tough enough, Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers faces an even more difficult challenge.

Let me start by saying that I have never liked Justin Timberlake, this year's Espy host, until now. He's been genuinely entertaining, in fact, I thought his opening was downright hilarious. My personal favorites were his hugging and consoling of Aaron Rodgers, and his personal thanks to Bill Belicheck and the New England Patriots for providing all the camera crews for the evening. Very entertaining...

Daunte Culpepper has contacted the Detroit Lions about a job. This after the former Viking reportedly turned down an offer to back-up Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay, saying he wanted to be a starter. So he thinks the Lions are looking to replace Jon Kitna? Sorry Daunte, but there are no starter [...]

P oor Aaron Rodgers. Under normal circumstances, he should be basking in all the preseason hype and pressure of a newly appointed starting NFL quarterback.

Here are the baseball stories that you won’t find on the sports media headlines because… well probably because Ted Thompson, Brett Favre, and Aaron Rodgers aren’t involved. The A’s Can Catch the Angels Many people point to the Harden trade as a signal that Billy Beane has thrown in the towel for the 2008 season. I see it differently. So should you. Beane astutely understood that Rich Harden’s market...

Should the Packers bring Brett Favre back as a starter? Heck yeah. In this week's column for the Waukesha Freeman * I lay out the reasons Brett Favre should be brought back as a starter , not the least of which is that Aaron Rodgers will cost me money. * Still hot on the rack at your favorite gas station for only 50 cents.

Filed under: AZ Cardinals , Packers , NFL Fans Ah, the ESPY's, the sports world's answer to the Oscars, the Emmys, the BAFTAs, so on and so forth. Anyway, as superstars, has-beens, wannabes and the like made their way down the red carpet, several marginally relevant characters were interviewed about the prospect of Brett Favre making his triumphant return to, well, some NFL team. First up, Aaron Rodgers...

Filed under: Packers , NFC North , NFL Media Watch Shhhhhhh. Despite what you may have thought, the ESPY's won't come on live this coming Sunday night. The award show that awards a part of entertainment that has their own awards process was held last night. Justin Timberlake was the host and got the gig of telling stale jokes and ushering in athletes in tuxes and evening gowns. He did get to chat...
