2nd Quarter -Kerry Collins had all day to throw on the first play of the quarter. He ended up wisely throwing away -Great play call by Dinger on 3rd and 2 to send everyone left except for Collins and Bo Scaife. Scaife made a great play to get into the end zone -The Titans defense got toasted on the tight end screen that started the next drive. No one was home on the back side of the defense -Albert...

I liked the different looks Tennessee’s defense showed the Bengals on the first series. Chris Johnson is a serious weapon. Two yards, three yards a pop, then he breaks a long one. Bo Scaife missed a block on Antwan Odom, resulting in Kerry Collins being stripped. What’s wrong with that picture? Scaife scrimmaged against Odom for three [...]

The Titans placed a high priority on upgrading the tight end position this offseason. First, they acquired the services of former Pro Bowl TE Alge Crumpler during the opening days of free agency. They later swapped tight ends with the Falcons, losing Ben Hartsock to Atlanta while picking up former Falcon/Titan Dwayne Blakley. For the icing [...]

Titans TE Ben Troupe again had a disappointing season in 2007. He appeared in all 16 games but only had five catches for 47 yards. He spent more time blocking than catching passes and finished behind starter Bo Scaife and even fellow reserve Ben Hartstock for catches by a tight end. Troupe will be a free agent this offseason.

Titans TE Ben Hartsock , a reserve behind starter Bo Scaife , appeared in all 16 games in 2007 and finished with 12 catches for 138 yards. He will be a free agent this offseason, but Hartstock's main role is as a blocker and on special teams.

Titans TE Bo Scaife , who missed the playoffs with a lacerated liver, played well in his first year as a starter. He finished with 46 catches for 421 yards and one touchdown. The catches and yards were a new career high in his third season. He is expected to be fine for the start of training camp after getting hurt in the final week of the season.

Tight end is another position where the Titans are going to need help this offseason. The best thing you can do for a young quarterback is give him a safety valve at the tight end position. Bo Scaife has proven that he can make some catches in this league, but he doesn't have the ability to make the game changing play. Scaife finished the season with with 46 catches for 421 yards and 1 touchdown. He...

The Titans are limping into their first-round playoff game at San Diego on Sunday. Injuries continue to mount. The sizzling Chargers are favored by nine and counting. Receiver Roydell Williams and tight end Bo Scaife were lost this week. Quarterback Vince Young and center Kevin Mawae might not be able to play. There's panic in the streets.
