BETHLEHEM - Brian Westbrook is a happier camper these days. Lito Sheppard most definitely is not. The reasons aren't hard to discern. The Eagles are talking with Westbrook's new agent, Todd France, about a new contract for the franchise running back. Westbrook said yesterday that "things are going well."

In his annual state of the team address at Lehigh, Eagles owner Jeff Lurie was asked about the contract situations of some of his unhappy players. He addressed both Brian Westbrook and Lito Sheppard. In his discussion of Lito's situation he talked about some of the things we'd all expect, like Lito needing to stay healthy... but he mentioned a stat that I have to admit I've never heard of . When asked...

By DAVID WEINBERG Staff Writer, 609-272-7186 BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Whenever guard Shawn Andrews rejoins the Philadelphia Eagles, his teammates will be there for him. Some of his fellow offensive linemen, tight end L.J. Smith and running back Brian Westbrook were among the players that expressed sympathy and pledged support Tuesday upon learning that Andrews has not yet reported to training camp

I just completed my first mock draft. I messed up a the running back picks Brian Westbrook and Michael Turner have the same bye week, i also waited too long to get running back 3/4 especially since I foolishly picked up 2 players with suspensions (Steve Smith, Brandon Marshall). The only problem with this is [...]

Eagles Notes Brian Westbrook returned to the field yesterday, albeit for a short stint. The Eagles running back, who missed the previous two days of practice because of flulike symptoms, participated in early noncontact drills, then left the field at Lehigh when the hitting began.

Brian Westbrook is just an amazing running back. His speed, vision, agility, toughness, and determination is better than anybody in the NFL(well maybe LT). He has been very underrated over the years, and last year when given the entire load to carry he proved he is indeed elite. Brian may be in the middle of a contract dispute, [...]

Philadelphia Eagles star running back Brian Westbrook is currently under quarantine. No worries thou Eagles fans the isolated B-West isn’t because of his contract dispute, it’s the team officials that are doing whatever possible to keep him away from the other players. He’s currently suffering from flu-like symptoms and strep throat. [...]

Don’t expect to see much about fantasy sports on this blog, but Sports Illustrated’s NFL fantasy preview last week caught my attention. The most valuable position in real football is of course, QB, but in fantasy it’s running back. SI has Brian Westbrook ranked fourth at RB behind LaDanian Tomlinson, Adrian Peterson and Joseph Addai. Of that [...]

Because it’s Friday, I think we should have some fun with movies. NE Patriots Draft came up with movie posters detailing what they think will be interesting story lines during the 2008 season. You have to agree with Matt Leinart in Failure to Launch, and Chad Johnson and Brian Westbrook in Million Dollar Babies. Some other movies that I think NFL personalities could [...]

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Andy Reid didn't just awaken yesterday morning a more benign coach. The air was thicker than pea soup, the temperature was rising as quickly as a Brian Westbrook cutback move, and the Eagles had already endured seven consecutive days of banging one another around, yet Reid hadn't planned to let up on them.
