Brief spin post

On MSNBC, still no mention of the "that one!" line. Chris Matthews says the story of the night is that McCain refused to stoop as low as mentioning Ayers. Too much honor, I suppose. Update: The ThinkProgress live blog says that Brian Williams, Katie Couric, and Jeff Toobin all noticed the monstrous "that one" comment. Olbermann did too.

Brian Williams: McCain/Palin Shunning Him Because of Olbermann/Matthews

In the Actions have consequences department, Brian Williams recently told David Letterman that the McCain camp is punishing him by not allowing him to interview Sarah Palin because the McCain camp is mad at MSNBC's extreme leftism as evinced by Chris "Thrill up my leg" Matthews and Keith Olbermann. Is Brian crying? There's no crying in broadcasting! During his visit on The Late Show with David Letterman,...

More Letterman on Sarah Palin Friday Night

Earlier I posted a video of Brian Williams appearing on The Late Show With David Letterman from Friday night. Dave also commented on the debate. I’ve subsequently found that it is unusual for Letterman to have a show taped on Friday. He normally tapes his Friday show on Monday after he tapes the regular [...]

Brian Williams on Letterman

Brian Williams appeared on The Late Show With David Letterman Friday night (video above) and began by announcing, “I’m a maverick and I may not answer the questions tonight.” He actually did answer questions, including reasons to be concerned about Sarah Palin becoming vice president. Williams cited a scenario such as that it is [...]

VIDEO-- David Letterman, Brian Williams: The debate was "a vice presidential play date"

By GottaLaff Here's Part 2, the (obvious) sequel to Part 1 : Brian Williams excuses IWRC* Palin's ignorance of foreign affairs because "she had no idea" she'd be on the ticket. She was only at this for 5 weeks, he says (as did IWRC). One: She knew a lot earlier than that. She, herself, said that months earlier. Two: If we're to believe Brian and IWRC, then she's unprepared and not ready to get anywhere...

Brian Williams On The Late Show: "I'm A Maverick, And I May Not Answer The Questions Tonight"

Friday night on the Late Show, it was a meeting of the two most prominent media personalities spurned by the McCain campaign -- Brian Williams and David Letterman. Neither man is terribly happy about being rejected by McCain-land, but they both manage to maintain their sense of humor. Here's video: Earlier in the show, Letterman had a number of zingers from McCain in his monologue. This one jumped...

Brian Williams and David Letterman

Brian Williams, anchor of NBC Nightly News , was David Letterman's guest on The Late Show Friday night. Williams left no doubt that NBC News is hostile toward John McCain and Sarah Palin. Williams repeatedly threw jibes at the McCain campaign for not agreeing to have Sarah Palin do an interview with NBC. Williams, with Letterman's prompting, said, in effect, that Sarah Palin is too inexperienced to...
