I’m all for nicknames. They’re cute, fun, and way more memorable than the tons of garden-variety names. Plus it prevents parents from having to name their children something outlandish like ZoQwell. But this? I’m going to be completely honest, I wasn’t expecting that at all. Bruce Gradkowski to the Rams? Well, good luck to “Medium-Large” B.” ◼ Blade

ESPN’s John Clayton is reporting in his blog today on ESPN.com that Bucs QB Chris Simms is going to get some interest on the market if he is the next Tampa Bay QB to be let go. Earlier this week Tampa Bay dumped Bruce Gradkowski, and he was picked up off waivers yesterday by the [...]

It has been announced that Bruce Gradkowski has been claimed off of waivers by the St. Louis Rams. The Rams have three quarterbacks, but could use all the help they can get. Marc Bulger is a very good quarterback, yet he spends most of his time injured on the bench. I like Trent Green, but [...]

There. They did it. The Rams found their new third string QB in Bruce Gradkowski. The PD says that he is expected to replace Brock Berlin on the depth chart. Gradkowski has started 11 games in his career, with some success. Gruden isn't known as a friend to young QBs and developing an arm has never been his forte, so Gradkowski comes to the Rams with some upside: he's only 25, has had some success...

Filed under: Bears , Raiders , Rams Bruce Gradkowski 's NFL career began well enough; as a rookie, he replace injured Chris Simms and started 11 games. His numbers weren't all that impressive, but if nothing else, he gained valuable experience and worst case, he'd be a solid backup for the foreseeable future. Apparently, "foreseeable" equals "one season" because the Bucs released Gradkowski last week...

The NFL network is reporting that the Rams may try to pick up Tampa Bay QB Bruce Gradkowski, who was placed on waivers last Friday. Gradkowski was once Bucs' coach Jon Gruden's pet project, and he recently admitted that he made a mistake sticking with him in the 2006 season before handing it over to QB Tim Rattay. Huge vote of confidence in the kid there. At 25, it's not unreasonable to think Gradkowski...

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released stand-in quarterback Bruce Gradkowski, thinning their crowded ranks at the position. Gradkowski, who played college ball at Toledo, was pressed into service in his rookie year as Buccaneers’ quarterback when starter Chris Simms suffered a freak injury to his spleen in the fifth week of the 2006 season. He completed 20 of 31 [...]

Filed under: Buccaneers , NFC South , Tampa Bay Bruce Gradkowski has been cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers , whittling the number of quarterbacks on their roster down to, oh, about 17. Y'know, the only people who saw this coming were ... well, everyone, really. Forced into starting duties as a rookie in 2006 because of injuries to Chris Simms and Luke McCown, Gradkowski won only 4 games in 13 starts,...
