Bryan Gilmore, Midwestern State Usually, players like Gilmore are anonymous. You don't know them when they're signed. You don't notice them when they play. And you don't read about it when they're cut. Naturally, it's pretty hard to find any information on the Bryan Gilmores of the world. That's why I found this blurb from the official 49ers site kinda cool and very funny. One of the team’s fastest...

Filed under: 49ers , NFC West , San Francisco Poor, poor Ashley Lelie . He just never catches the breaks (or the balls, which may be why he never catches the breaks, but I digress ... ). It seemed, as little as two days ago! , as if he was going to benefit from Taylor Jacobs ' release via a promotion to third receiver. And then Bryan Gilmore happened. Coach Mike Nolan said cutting wide receiver Bryan...

The Niners waived two players and replaced them with familiar faces. The 49ers cut wide receiver Taylor Jacobs and fullback Zak Keasey and signed offensive tackle Patrick Estes and receiver Bryan Gilmore. Estes was waived the week before the season opener and Gilmore was released in the final roster cutdowns. Jacobs had three catches for 40 yards this year.

So the Niners made two moves today. They cut WR Taylor Jacobs and brought back Bryan Gilmore. Also, they cut ties with FB Zak Keasey and brought back T Patrick Estes. I don't know much about Estes, since he was of little talk during camp. However, the return of Gilmore makes me think about the offense [...]

The 49ers shook up their struggling offense on Tuesday, waiving No. 3 receiver Taylor Jacobs and re-signing Bryan Gilmore, who held the same position last year. Jacobs beat out Gilmore for a roster spot with an outstanding performance in training camp, even moving ahead of free-agent signee Ashley Lelie on the 49ers' depth chart. But Jacobs has just three catches for 40 yards and a touchdown this season,...
