Filed under: Dolphins , AFC East , NFL Rumors Who knows how this Dolphins three-way quarterback situation will resolve itself, but as it plays out, one thing is becoming abundantly clear: last year's second-round pick John Beck , is this year's new Cleo Lemon . Which is to say, he's pretty much out of the running for the gig before the competition gets going. I mentioned yesterday that Chad Henne...

LBS reader and commenter Jeff emails in with the story of Dolphins quarterback Josh McCown (he’s with the Dolphins now???) who is doing his best to play his way out of the starting quarterback competition. With Chad Henne and Cleo Lemon as the other candidates, McCown actually has a legit shot. Or had, [...]

Filed under: Bills , Jaguars , Saints , AFC South , NFL Free Agency The Jacksonville Jaguars still have plenty of salary cap space to burn, even after the signings of receiver Jerry Porter , cornerback Drayton Florence , and backup QBs Cleo Lemon and Todd Bouman . Maybe they should start focusing on the defensive line next. The Jaguars lost two potential starters on the defensive line over the weekend,...

What do we know? Day one of Free Agency is behind us and things are already becoming more clear for the Jaguars. First off, we've found our number one receiver in Jerry Porter and we've backed up David Garrard with Cleo Lemon. Two big needs addressed in the first day, not too shabby. There were some losses as well. Safety Gibril Wilson, who I was absolutely convinced that the team would sign took...

Quarterback Cleo Lemon agreed to a three-year, $8.1 million contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars got a backup for David Garrard after being rebuffed in their bid to pry Todd Collins from the Washington Redskins. Lemon was a part-time starter this past season in Miami. The deal includes a $2.95 million signing bonus, and Lemon can earn an additional $4 million in incentives....Please...

It's official : Cleo Lemon decided to stay in the Sunshine State (Really, who wouldn't) and is now the backup quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars. His contract is reportedly a 3 year deal, total value of 8.1 million dollars, 2.95 Million signing bonus and 4 million in (hopefully never earned) incentives. That's good to get QB addressed quickly. We'll have a competent backup in place and avoided...

Talk about swapping some bad players. As originally posted by hotrod43 in this diary , the Vikings are reportedly showing interest in free agent QB Cleo Lemon . Tim Graham writes that there are "murmurs the Vikings are highly interested" in Lemon. What do I think? TAKE HIM! PLEASE!!! Actually, it really doesn't matter if the Vikings take him or not because all indications are that Bill Parcells, Jeff...
