INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (’07 Record 13-3) Biggest Question: Will the knee surgery at all affect Peyton Manning’s ability to stay on the field? Training Camp Battle: Backup runningback. The Colts are pretty much locked in. The question is whether veteran retread Dominic Rhodes or rookie Mike Hart will be spelling Joseph Addai this year. How boring is that? MIP: [...]

My first prediction lasted a few days before Gandy being cut proved me wrong. I've waited on the one big possible signing (Colvin) to give it a last shot before camp. Here it is: QB Peyton Manning, Jim Sorgi RB Joseph Addai, Dominic Rhodes, Mike Hart FB Gijon Robinson TE Dallas Clark, Jacob Tamme, Tom Santi WR Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Anthony Gonzalez, Roy Hall, Pierre Garcon OT Tony Ugoh, Ryan...

With Luke Lawton traded and the possibility of Rosevelt Colvin getting signed, here's my updated guess as to what the 2008 Colts roster will look like: QBs: (2) - Peyton Manning, Jim Sorgi RBs: (3) - Joseph Addai, Dominic Rhodes, Kenton Keith FBs: (1) - Mike Hart This is more of a goal-line specialist position than a true fullback. WRs: (6) - Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Anthony Gonzalez, Devin...

Justise Hairston Photo: AJ Macht I think pretty much off of us thought that one of the first cuts during the pre-season would be Colts back-up RB Kenton Keith. With Dominic Rhodes back on the roster and with a promising rookie like Mike Hart weighting in the wings, K2 was expectable. But with Indy's latest trade with the Philadelphia Eagles (something that has become almost a yearly act), everyone's...

Dominic Rhodes is a running back. His position is running back. He's also returned 135 kicks in his career, and caught 101 passes. But he's run the ball 625 times in his career because he is a running back (550 going into 2007). That might be why on the back of Dominic Rhodes' 2007 Bowman football card (#35), the following is listed under "Skills:" "Running the football is the best part of his game"...

A few weeks ago, the Broncos toyed with the idea of signing Dominic Rhodes or Shaun Alexander, but on Tuesday, they got serious, reaching an agreement with former Buccaneers halfback Michael Pittman.

With each offseason, there is considerable changeover in the Oakland Raider roster. Dominic Rhodes and Stuart Schweigert have been the first casualties but there are more to come. LDizzle speculates on who will be joining them on the unemployment line.

Wearing No. 33 for the Indianapolis Colts could be a costly proposition this season. Dominic Rhodes spent his first six NFL seasons with Indianapolis while wearing No. 33. But when Rhodes signed as a free agent with Oakland, the Colts gave the number to Melvin Bullitt, right, whose father wore that number at Texas A&M. Now that Rhodes has returned for his second stint, he wants the number back. Coach...

Filed under: Colts , Indianapolis The guy you see on the right wearing the No. 33 Colts jersey is Melvin Bullitt, a defensive back entering his second season after making the team as an undrafted rookie in 2007. Handing Bullitt No. 33 last year was an afterthought -- at the time he got it, the coaches didn't even expect him to make the roster, meaning they thought no one would wear 33 all year. But...

The numbers game Dominic Rhodes is fighting with the Colts goes beyond the veteran trying to earn a backup spot behind starting running back Joseph Addai.

The universal feeling among players and coaches at minicamp is they are all very happy that Dominic Rhodes is back . Peyton Manning : I’m excited to have Dominic back... He gives us a real boost... He gives us a veteran player there who is familiar with this system. It will take him a little time to catch back up on any changes we’ve made, to get familiar again. Dallas Clark : It's awesome... I just...
