12% That's not Drew Bennett's catch percentage since joining the Rams or Marc Bulger's completion percentage from last week. That number, my fellow Rams fans, is the number of St. Louis area households that bothered to tune into the Rams season opener last week, per the Neilsen ratings. Last season, the ratings low point was 15.8% for a week six stinker in Baltimore. What about the firs half of the...

Filed under: Rams , NFC West , NFL Injuries The word from St. Louis this week is that the Rams are the worst team in the NFL Drew Bennett is out for at least a month with a broken bone in his foot. Bennett was attempting to fill the void left by the departed Isaac Bruce in the offense formerly known as a "show" of some sort. The obvious next in line would have been explosive-at-times rookie Donnie...

One huge injury, and the entire NFL is shaken and destroyed. But it wasn't just Tom Brady's injury that hit the league. Big names like Vince Young, Brodie Croyle, and Drew Bennett all found out they'll be missing significant action with injuries. We found out that Brett Favre is comfortable as a Jet, and likely to get more comfortable, that Aaron Rodgers isn't shy about leaping into the stands, and...

Drew Bennett will spend the better part of his second season with the Rams on the sideline, injured with a broken foot . Bennett dealt with injuries last season and played in just 14 games. The Rams were thin, at least in terms of veterans, at wide receiver heading into the season opening debacle at Philadelphia. The solution in my mind is simple: use Keenan Burton in his stead. Burton played well...

We talked Keenan Burton yesterday, looking at his impressive performance with the first team and the possibility of the Rams replacing a out-of-sync Drew Bennett with him if needed. It's hard not to be impressed with Donnie Avery's performance too. Avery, playing in his first preseason game, worked with the first team, second team and returned kicks. He finished the night with 5 receptions, tied with...

Still basking in the glow of the Rams win this weekend? Yeah, me too, but it's important not to overlook the fact that it was, after all, a preseason game. There was a lot to like about it though, but the night didn't end without a few red flags going up. Drew Bennett played just one drive before leaving with a groin injury. He only needed one drive though to elicit even more groans and signs from...

The Rams finished up their joint practices with the Titans on Thursday, and some interesting notes on the wide receivers -- easily one of the most intriguing positions to keep an eye on this fall -- came out of the sessions, via Bill Coats of the Around the Horns blog. First off, Drew Bennett had a less-than-impressive showing in the presence of his former team: WR Drew Bennett had a rough day, with...

The lack of depth at WR claims being hurled at the Rams annoy me. Compared to the other teams Al Saunders' has worked for, other than the Rams, the Rams have a better #1 WR in Torry Holt and a more than capable #2 WR in Drew Bennett. By the way, I think Bennett will be better served not working out of the slot as much. The third spot on depth chart at WR is still up for grabs, but two of the candidates,...
