For the second consecutive year, the Raiders added a fourth-round draft pick by dealing a player who once figured prominently into their future plans. Last year, the Raiders traded Randy Moss to New England for a fourth-round selection. This time it was cornerback Fabian Washington, who was dealt to the Baltimore Ravens for the 125th pick in the 2008 NFL draft.

Much to no one’s surprise, the Raiders traded Fabian Washington. The Raiders grabbed DB Tyvon Branch a defensive back from Connecticut and added Arman Shields wide receiver out of Richmond both in fourth round picks that were acquired through trades. More to come.

Well, perhaps the Ravens do know more than they're letting on. It appears that they have just traded a late fourth round pick to the Oakland Raiders for CB Fabian Washington, a former first round selection of the Raiders in 2005. Washington had four interceptions in 2006 but only one last year, in addition to 40 tackles. He'll probably step in immediately as nickle back and perhaps even take over...
