Former Raiders can't seem to contain their enthusiasm

“The first difference is that they practice a lot faster here – and not just the players, but the coaches. The players expect it, and that's something you learn right off the bat. They don't settle for less here.” - Fabian Washington Baltimore Ravens Website “The year out in Oakland was a tough one for me, [...]

Raiders Release Rhodes

ESPN's John Clayton reports that the Raiders have released running back Dominic Rhodes. This really wasn't much of a surprise. After trading Fabian Washington to the Ravens, Oakland took a cap hit, forcing them to get rid of someone. And after drafting Darren McFadden, they had an excess of running backs with Rhodes, McFadden, Justin Fargas, Michael [...]

Raiders deal Washington to Ravens

For the second consecutive year, the Raiders added a fourth-round draft pick by dealing a player who once figured prominently into their future plans. Last year, the Raiders traded Randy Moss to New England for a fourth-round selection. This time it was cornerback Fabian Washington, who was dealt to the Baltimore Ravens for the 125th pick in the 2008 NFL draft.

Oakland Raiders Draft: Day 2 as of 11am Pacific Time

Much to no one’s surprise, the Raiders traded Fabian Washington. The Raiders grabbed DB Tyvon Branch a defensive back from Connecticut and added Arman Shields wide receiver out of Richmond both in fourth round picks that were acquired through trades. More to come.

Day Two - Round Four

Well, perhaps the Ravens do know more than they're letting on. It appears that they have just traded a late fourth round pick to the Oakland Raiders for CB Fabian Washington, a former first round selection of the Raiders in 2005. Washington had four interceptions in 2006 but only one last year, in addition to 40 tackles. He'll probably step in immediately as nickle back and perhaps even take over...

Ravens Acquire Washington

A guy that hasn't been talked about being on the block much, Fabian Washington of the Raiders, has just been traded to the Ravens for their fourth round pick. Washington, just twenty-four, has always had potential, being quick and good at staying with receivers. He’s very inconsistent, though, and needs more experience before he can start. Still, [...]

Ravens Trade for Fabian Washington, Add Much-Needed Depth in Secondary

Filed under: Ravens , NFL Draft , NFL Fans The Ravens starting cornerbacks last season, Chris McAlister and Samari Rolle , are both in their 30s and on the downsides of solid careers. And behind them, well, there isn't much. Both players were injured last season and Baltimore was forced to go with Derrick Martin and Corey Ivy with predictable results. And with 2006 third-rounder David Pittman not...

No 1st round pick. No 2nd round pick. No 3rd round pick. No...5th round pick? According to Evan Silva or RotoWorld, the Browns could be working a trade with the Oakland Raiders. On ESPN this morning, when asked about what to expect from the Cleveland Browns this weekend, analyst Jeremy Green said...
