Arriving like a bull, Rich Rodriguez has wasted no time taking charge. He showed it in his terse assessment of the former coaching staff, handing each a thank-you and good-bye (though he rehired running backs coach Fred Jackson). He drew a line, telling the players who weren't with him initially that they wouldn't be with him thereafter.

Buffalo rookie RB Dwayne Wright was a backup RB for the Bills in 2007. He appeared in 14 games with 94 yards rushing and three catches for 17 yards. Wright was low on the depth chart behind fellow rookie Marshawn Lynch , Anthony Thomas and Fred Jackson .

Rich Rodriguez appeared to make a huge mistake this week when he summarily dismissed all of Michigan's assistant coaches. He started to rectify it when he rehired running backs coach Fred Jackson. Rodriguez would be smart to rehire two or three more.

Rich Rodriguez is less than a week into his job as Michigan's football coach. His staff is being assembled, and Friday, just a day after releasing all of Lloyd Carr's assistants, he rehired one -- running backs coach Fred Jackson. Rodriguez then made his first public comments since the staff was overhauled.
