The Giants have cut K Josh Huston, who was supposed to fill in for the injured Lawrence Tynes. According to Mike Garafolo, the Giants have shown some interested in 44 year old K John Carney. Carney’s agent has confirmed the Giants will sign him.

New York Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes underwent exploratory knee surgery today. The initial indications are that Tynes does not have a season-ending injury, as the team had feared. The Giants announced that the procedure revealed no structural damage and Tynes will continue to treat the soreness in his left knee with a rehabilitation program. But there's no immediate word about how long he'll be sidelined....
