As projected, Dhani Jones signed a three-year deal to stick around Cincinnati . Geoff Hobson writes that the 30-year old is expected to receive around $2 million in 2008. It's doubtful the Bengals re-sign Lemar Marshall or Caleb Miller. It's unlikely the team can re-sign Landon Johnson unless it becomes clear to Johnson's party that his value is far less than he believes -- whatever that is. So far,...

For the past 18 regular season games and one playoff game, this team struggles so hard to stay healthy. In Curnutte's latest , Ahmad Brooks, Lemar Marshall and Eric Ghiaciuc are doubtful while Willie Anderson, Antonio Chatman and Nedu Ndukwe are listed as questionable. I hate to point to one issue that's hurt this team in the past two years. But injury has to be high on anyone's list. More updates...

...why Ed Hartwell was cut. If you're on a roster bubble, you better contribute to special teams. But I admit, I'm slightly surprised. With Rashad Jeanty most likely down against Baltimore, Ahmad Brooks slow (like a snail) development, Lemar Marshall just joining the team and Andre Frazier mostly a special teams guy, you'd think a healthy Hartwell would only benefit the team. It was even projected...

Filed under: Bengals , AFC North , Cincinnati Bengals fans have been clammoring all week hoping the team signs a certain linebacker that was surprisingly released earlier this week by an NFC East team. However, it wasn't Jeremiah Trotter, who was cut by Philly this week , but Lemar Marshall, who the Redskins lopped off . Marshall, signed a one year deal to play for his hometown team : "We're thin....

Filed under: Redskins , NFC East , Washington, DC ( Hat tip to Skin Patrol at HogsHaven ) The Redskins have released linebacker Lemar Marshall, which comes out of nowhere . I mean, Marshall was fighting with Rocky McIntosh for the weak-side linebacker starting job ... and McIntosh was tearing it up so far this preseason. But with Marcus Washington dislocating his elbow and Marshall's versatility,...

Per the Official Site : Fletcher is expected to move into the middle linebacker position. It's possible that Lemar Marshall, last year's starter in the middle, and second-year player Rocky McIntosh will compete for playing time at weak-side linebacker. While I recognize the qualifier "possible" as just that, this is pretty believable since it is consistent with everything the team has done to keep...
