The Raiders signed fullback Luke Lawton (no surprise) to the 53-man roster and added defensive lineman Derrick Gray to the practice squad (even less surprise). To make roster room, they waived...

Today we will take a look at the fullback and tight end positions for the Philadelphia Eagles. The fullback position seems to be wide open for Jason Davis and Luke Lawton. Last season’s incumbent Thomas Tapeh is now a member of the Minnesota Vikings. The tight end position is L.J. Smith’s to lose as Brent [...]

With Luke Lawton traded and the possibility of Rosevelt Colvin getting signed, here's my updated guess as to what the 2008 Colts roster will look like: QBs: (2) - Peyton Manning, Jim Sorgi RBs: (3) - Joseph Addai, Dominic Rhodes, Kenton Keith FBs: (1) - Mike Hart This is more of a goal-line specialist position than a true fullback. WRs: (6) - Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Anthony Gonzalez, Devin...

Bob Grotz in the Delco Times talked about Lawton's versatility. Lawton can play running back and H-back as well as special teams. He also can long-snap and even return kickoffs, having clocked a 4.52 in the 40-yard dash at 240 pounds a few years ago at his pro day, according to his recollection. The ability to long snap is interesting. As nice a guy Dorenbos is, I've said several times how I think...

AS LITTLE AS the Eagles tend to use their fullback, you would think they'd be less picky. Yesterday, the team announced it had acquired fullback Luke Lawton from the Colts for a conditional draft choice. That means the Birds now have a quartet of players vying to succeed Thomas Tapeh, who was allowed to depart for Minnesota in free agency, at least somewhat because he couldn't contribute on special...

Didn't see this one coming... INDIANAPOLIS -- Colts reserve running back Luke Lawton was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles for a conditional 2009 draft choice. Lawton played in 11 games last season at running back and special teams. He had five rushes for 13 yards and four receptions for 29 yards, including a one-yard scoring reception against Jacksonville on Dec. 2 for his lone career touchdown....

The Eagles have acquired the rights to Colts FB Luke Lawton in a trade earlier today. The Eagles have sent a conditional 2009 draft pick. The trade gives free agent signing Dan Klecko some competition come training camp for a team likely to take one fullback to its regular season roster. Also of note for those [...]

Tonight we'll look at the Colts Draft Needs at the Fullback Position. The Colts do not have a fullback on their active roster. Luke Lawton has been cut. The Colts should pick up a fullback in free agency after the draft to try to get a power back. If the Colts were to draft a Fullback in the Draft, I'd draft either Doug Jones from Cincinnati or Mike Cox out of Georgia Tech. Cox is a fairly good runner...
