First it was the Matt Leinart photos, now it's "Agent Zero" making its way into a Jeopardy! question. Clearly, some of the writers read sports blogs. [D.C. Sports Bog]

Interesting comments from Oregon QB Jerimiah Masoli. From P-E College Blog... Masoli: "We feel like we have the better team, but tonight they just scored more points. We just gave that one away . . . The game was in our hands the whole time.'' The whole time? OK, I'll bite...based on what? You guys got schooled last night just we did against OSU so now is not the time to be making those kind of statements,...

Fox Sports ran a short piece on quarterback Kurt Warner this morning on the NFL on Fox. I thought it was a very good piece and did a good job of really pointing out why Kurt Warner is the Arizona Cardinals starter and not Matt Leinart. Kurt Warner said “I feel like there’s a little left [...]

Thus far, Kurt Warner has played as well as I had predicted. By far, he’s the best QB on the Arizona Cardinals’ roster, and he’s one of the best in the NFL. After two games, he’s second in the league in passer rating, first in yards per attempt, and was just named NFC Offensive Player [...]

Vince Young. Matt Leinart. Jay Cutler. The so called ‘trio’ of the 2006 draft class. The star QB’s. Vince Young was coming off an epic Rose Bowl performance(still one of the best games I’ve ever seen). Matt Leinart finished 3rd in the Heisman a year after winning it all. And then there was Jay Cutler, a [...]

Filed under: Broncos , Texans , AFC West , NFL Draft , NFL Fans In the weeks and months leading up to the 2006 draft, the media buzz centered around Matt Leinart (he stayed for his senior season!) and Vince Young (he can do no wrong!). Jay Cutler , most often referred to as "that guy with a rifle arm who took A TON of hits at Vandy," was an afterthought -- a consolation prize for the NFL team that...

That vaunted 2006 NFL quarterback class is shaping up well. Arizona's Matt Leinart has been injured or unable to hold the job. Denver's Jay Cutler, whom the Raiders made look like an All-Pro this week, nearly didn't make it to camp until doctors found out he has diabetes.

To me, Matt Cassel represents a microcosm of the Patriots organization. We all know the story, he’s been a career backup since 2005 for the Patriots and was a player who never even started collegiately, spending time behing Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart. With so little tape on Cassel for teams interested in drafting him, he [...]

Vince Young has definitely had his ups and downs. He was picked 3rd overall in the NFL Draft right behind Reggie Bush and ahead of Matt Leinart and Jay Cutler. His rookie season was a success for the most part, as his ability to lead his team to victory was obvious. Big plays and close escapes had many people becoming fans, asking how the Texans passed on Vince to draft a defensive end. But last season...

Matt Cassel sat backup for Heisman winners Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart at USC. He turned pro in 2005 and continued the trend his first three NFL seasons sitting behind New England’s seemingly invincible Tom Brady. But when Brady limped off the field after a hit to his leg in Saturday's opener against Kansas City, Matt Cassel, who attempted only 15 passes in ’06 & ’07 combined, actually got to play...
