The Houston Texans released linebacker Rosevelt Colvin. Colvin, formerly of the New England Patriots, had signed with the Texans as a free agent in the offseason. The Texans signed him to be a pass-rushing defensive end but felt, after seeing him in training camp and the preseason, he wasn't going to be effective in that role.
