This is good news from the standpoint that Albert Haynesworth will be in camp from day one. It is vital that he be there to gel with all of the new guys the Titans have brought in for the defensive line. The incentives that were agreed upon for the tender have not been released. It will be really interesting to see what the numbers are that would keep him from being franchised again next season.

The Tennessee Titans believe they might have reached a long-term deal with All Pro defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth if only they had more time before the NFL deadline. That made it easier to promise Haynesworth they won't slap him with the franchise tag in 2009 - if he meets several incentives.

Defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth has agreed to a one-year contract with the Tennessee Titans. Haynesworth was named the Titans' franchise player in February and will receive the salary--$7.25 million--to which he was entitled under the franchise tender. The Tennessean has out their fan's guide to training camp. It includes directions and the autograph schedule for each day. I cannot tell you how excited I am that camp opens tomorrow. That means the season is just around the corner. Here are my 2 questions leading into camp tomorrow: 1. Will Chris Johnson be signed in time for the first practice? This shouldn't be anything that cannot get done. Slotting...

The folks at Reebok were kind enough to set aside a few minutes for us to chat with Tennessee Titans QB Vince Young. We’re fairly certain that Young has never heard of our site, and the word blog is almost certainly not part of his lexicon. Still, he was kind enough to play along, all [...]

In 2007, the Tennessee Titans rode the coattails of a stingy defense that made life miserable for opposing offenses to the franchise’s first playoff birth since 2003. Led by the dominating presence of Albert Haynesworth and the steady play of veteran Keith Bulluck, the Titans finished with the league’s fifth-ranked defense. It’s been an eventful offseason [...]
