I SUPPOSE it would be churlish to whine about Greg Norman choosing a fellow Australian in Adam Scott as one of his captain's picks for next month's Presidents Cup at the expense of South African Rory Sabbatini, given that our Gary Player did the same thing in 2005.

Hey, gang, we are reporting live from Cog Hill! Beautiful day here in the Chicago area. And it is turning out to be a special day for Tiger Woods. What we saw @ the course: 1. Fans screaming for Paddy Harrington, but...

by Shane Bacon Filed under: PGA , FedEx Cup Just like the Tiger Slam of 2001, these last few weeks might best be described as the Tiger Slump. Why? Because it wasn't an actual slump like most golfers go through, it was just Tiger Woods doings things that aren't Tiger-like. A loss after a 54-hole lead in a major. A missed putt on the 18th green for birdie that would have tied the lead. A, gulp, finish...

Rory Sabbatini delivered a few surprises in the BMW Championship. First, he posted a low round. Then, he took the high road. Sabbatini has not done much on the PGA Tour since he closed with a 64 to win the Byron Nelson Championship in May. In his last eight starts, he has missed the cut four times and has not finished in the top 30.

Padraig Harrington shrugged off his pre-event neck problems and a wobbly back nine to keep his FedExCup hot streak going in the BMW Championship at Cog Hill. Struggling to hit fairways on his back nine, his short game came to the rescue as he kept a bogey off his card and then birdied the last to post a three under par 68 that left him just two strokes behind leaders Rory Sabbatini and Steve Marino...
