This year’s Kansas 6A state track and field meet couldn’t have gone much better for Olathe East junior Breeana Coleman. Coleman, The Star’s All-Metro girls track athlete of the year, captured the 100-meter dash in 12.03 seconds, the 200 meters in 24.93 seconds and the 100 hurdles in 14.30 seconds.

CFL fines former Olathe North star for TD tribute to Michael Jackson

The Canadian Football League fined Toronto Argonauts receiver <strong>Arland Bruce</strong> for &ldquo;excessive actions&rdquo; during his tribute to <strong>Michael Jackson</strong> after scoring a touchdown. Bruce, a former Olathe North star, was fined an undisclosed amount.

Massa commits to UC

St. Xavier senior-to-be quarterback Luke Massa made an oral commitment this morning to play for the University of Cincinnati. Massa, who is 6 feet 5 and 205 pounds, is the eighth area player to orally commit to the Bearcats in the 2010 class.
