BUFFALO - The call-up from the Islanders came just in time for Jeff Tambellini to extend a spur-of-the-moment invitation to his father to join the rest of the team's dads on last week's road trip to Atlanta, Florida and Tampa Bay. Of course, Steve Tambellini, who serves as assistant general manager for Vancouver, was the only dad who had worn the Islanders' jersey as a player.
