Filed under: Bulls , Cavaliers , NBA Last Night , Chicago , Cleveland Every night now and again there are some stupendous, silly, stupid, or downright outlandish individual lines from around the L. Doing Lines lets you know which one tops the list. How's this for poetic justice? With Ben Wallace and the Cavs in town, Joakim Noah exploded all over the place for the Bulls , looking not just a little...

(Too bad Larry Hughes had to be a throw-in.) That was a very fun game to attend. The only downer was that it's so hard to boo Ben Wallace since he never does anything on the court worth booing. The old bastard couldn't even get to the line, which would've been a nice moment. Although, why boo him, Ben was great for the Bulls tonight, and I was delighted whenever he entered the game. After all, he...

Even the prospect of booing and laughing at Ben Wallace isn't enough to get me excited about being in attendance tonight. Game is early, 6pm CST. Cavs did play last night, so that's something. It was against the Knicks, true, but still something. And despite what my pessimism yesterday may have indicated, I do indeed want the Bulls to win games the rest of the way...so I note that fact as a good thing....

Filed under: Bulls , Eastern , Chicago When Ben Wallace, Joe Smith and Adrian Griffin were shipped off at the trade deadline, my colleague Tom Ziller (tongue-in-cheek) lamented the loss of the Veteran Discipline Committee to keep Tyrus Thomas and Joakim Noah in check. But maybe there was something to that ... G.M. John Paxson suspened second-year forward Tyrus Thomas two games for an unexcused absence...

Will Ben Wallace’s arrival in Cleveland lessen the rivalry between the Pistons and Cavs? The Pistons don't think so. From the DetNews: “We still hate Cleveland,” Lindsey Hunter said, with no trace of a smile. “We didn't like Chicago (when Wallace was there), either. That's just the way it is.” Others weren't quite so sure. “It's [...]

I was much more excited for this game before Friday night. National TV (which I don't care about the 'exposure', just a chance to hear different broadcast crews), against a 'rival' who now has one of the most reviled players in team history. Honestly, how great will it be to watch Ben Wallace do whatever he does in another uniform? Or will he save his good games for the Bulls like he used to for us...

Yes, Danny Ferry knows the doomsday clock is ticking. Twenty-eight months, twenty-seven months. And he knows when that clock hits zero, on July 1, 2010, LeBron James can make or break the Cavaliers’ franchise. That's when James can sign a long-term contract that will keep him there for the foreseeable future. Or, he can take one of Jay-Z’s Gulfstream jets to the news conference so many people think...

Ira Newble was dealt to the Seattle Supersonics in the 11-player, 3-team trade that netted the Cavaliers Wally Szczerbiak, Delonte West, Ben Wallace and Joe Smith. At the time of the deal, I remember thinking that Ira Newble may have found himself in a scenario that would end his NBA career as a player with any [...]
