Jeep’s small SUVs will use Fiat-supplied platforms starting in 2013 - 4WheelsNews

According to Crysler’s five year plan , the upcoming Jeep small SUVs will be using Fiat-supplied platforms starting in 2013. Jeep brand CEO Mike Manley said that the legendary American brand will drop the Patriot and Compass crossovers after 2012 and will be replacing them with a single C-segment vehicle whose platform will originate with Fiat Group.

Jeep to offer smaller SUV, keep off-road image

Jeep will add a smaller SUV to its product line in 2013, but the brand will stay true to its off-road roots by offering a trail-rated version of every vehicle it builds in the future, Jeep boss Mike Manley said as Chrysler and Fiat unveiled their 5-year plan today.
