The first ECHL home playoff victory in Utah Grizzlies' history was a well-earned one, goalie Nathan Lawson matching his Fresno opponent with zeroes in every regulation period and rookie Keith Johnson putting in a rebound of a Ryan Kinasewich shot off a faceoff 3:38 into overtime for a 1-0 victory Saturday night in the E Center.

Ryan Kinasewich spent a little more than two months up in the American Hockey League playing for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, part of the New York Islanders' chain along with the Utah Grizzlies.

Just down from AHL Bridgeport on Halloween, winger Trevor Smith played his first game for the Utah Grizzlies on a line with Ryan Kinasewich, the top scorer for Utah since it moved to the ECHL three seasons ago. Smith saw Kinasewich score a hat trick that night in Idaho, and the next day, last Saturday, Kinasewich was called up to Bridgeport.

Utah Grizzlies forward Scott Burt has been recalled to the Grizzlies' AHL affiliate in Bridgeport, Conn., joining Grizzlies teammate Ryan Kinasewich with the Sound Tigers. Kinasewich, the Grizzlies' all-time leading scorer, was called up last weekend.
