Devastating blow for Shean Donovan and the Ottawa Senators. The results of the MRI are in and showed MCL damage as well as possible ACL damage. As first reported by Brent Wallace, Donovan will miss at least 6-8 weeks. After that time he'll test out the knee and see if there is any further damage. It wasn't a pretty performance from the Senators. They sat back and let the Leafs come at them for nearly the entire third period but were still able to pick up the two points. The reason for that was pretty simple; Pascal Leclaire. Sure the two that did get by him weren't the greatest but he was good when he had to be. I hesitate to compare Pascal to a guy like Brodeur but thats just what this was....

The Senators were able to escape with an important two points tonight in what was a terribly sloppy game against the Oilers. Ottawa took the lead in the third period only to see Brule score on a weak goal to tie things up at 3-3 late in the third. Ottawa has been on the wrong end of a some ugly loses this year and obviously there are a number of factors at play. Undisciplined play, inconsistent officiating, underachieving stars and suspect third period goaltending just to name a few.
