If you’re a Stars fan, news of Brenden Morrow’s torn ACL is probably the worst thing that could happen next to getting into a drinking contest with Ed Belfour. (Bet a billion dollars on that one.) However, it’s not the end of the world. Really, it’s not. This faltering Stars team does have a glimmer of hope, but it’ll require a lot of things to go right—and it’ll also need a lot of people to step up....

Morrow was hurt late in the third period against the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday night. Morrow scored a goal in the Stars' 6-3 loss. Morrow received an instigator in the last five minutes when he fought Kings forward Dustin Brown. NHL rules state that any player instigating a fight in the final five minutes receives an automatic one-game suspension and his coach fined $10,000.
