The Atlanta Thrashers released goalie and former Red Wing Manny Legace. Legace, 36, appeared in one exhibition game for Atlanta. He was cut Monday along with forward Dan Fritsche. Legace played for the Red Wings in 1999-2006. He was mostly a backup but was the primary netminder in 2005-06.
