If you want a complete look at Mark Richt's comments and those of Damon Evans about the terminations of Martinez, Fabris and Jancek, check David Hale's blog. If you're interested in more of a summary of the situation, I liked Chip Towers piece a lot. Richt's most interesting comment is: "It was definitely not a one-year, knee-jerk reaction to this season, I can promise you that. It was more of...

If things go according to plan and Ole Miss head to the Cotton and Georgia Tech wins the ACC championship game, I'd say it's almost a lock that Georgia will go to the Chick-fil-A Bowl. The matchup against Clemson (as the ACC's No. 2) would be a very attractive one and would sell quickly. (Note: I've seen a handful of projections with Virginia Tech going to the CFA, but I just don't see that happening....

David Hale asks Mike Bobo the question that’s been on the minds of many this week. Will writes: David, is there any way you could bring up the point the Senator pointed out on his blog recently about Cox’s footwork tipping off opponents to the coaches? I just don’t know how else to get that to [...]

I don't know which makes me feel worse: Doug Gillett's sincere expression of heartfelt emotion , David Hale's coldly logical exegesis , or the fact that both of them undeniably are correct. For those inclined to look on the bright side, it seems we should be grateful that things aren't worse than they are . . . and, if nothing else, at least no one is wearing our team gear at Klan rallies ! Go 'Dawgs!...

David Hale had this to say at his blog yesterday: The Senator has done a great job over the last two years of convincing me I should want to support the BCS, but it’s crap like this that makes it really tough. This stinks of the same B.S. that put Kansas in a BCS game over [...]

Georgia is currently 1.5 games ahead of the Vols in the SEC standings with two games to play, so unless Georgia blows it this week against Kentucky, the Dawgs will lock up the second spot in the East. But if Tennessee is within a game of Georgia -- which means they'd have to beat both Vandy and Kentucky to close out the year -- then the Outback could take the Vols based on the Kiffin-related hype and...

Georgia Bulldogs in Running for Possible Bowl Berth Versus ACC David Hale links to a few bowl projection postings, which indicate that the Red and Black may be in the running for the Chick-fil-A Bowl (best case scenario) or the Music City Bowl (more likely scenario), either of which would pit the 'Dawgs against an ACC opponent. In other news, Clemson is doing well, which may give the Tigers' fans reason...

I really, truly am tired of whining about the officiating… but then I come across this blurb from David Hale’s blog, Cox also said that what Tennessee Tech was doing to get Georgia to jump was clearly against the rules and that Georgia’s players pointed it out to the refs several times, but the refs refused [...]
