Nikita Filatov was assigned to the Syracuse along with Derek Dorsett. Aaron Rome, Craig MacDonald, and Derek MacKenzie also cleared waivers and are being assigned to the Crunch. The Russian Federation hasn’t processed Filatov’s papers so that he can play for the Sudbury Wolves. Filatov is able to be called up at any time by playing for Syracuse. The Blue Jackets have placed Aaron Rome, Derek MacKenzie, and Craig MacDonald on waivers. Teams will have until noon tomorrow to pick them up off of waivers, if they are not picked up, they will be sent to Syracuse. I sincerely hope that Rome isn’t picked up, he’s such a great defenseman, and I still think he should have had that 8th spot, which goes to Marc Methot. It’s a sad day...
