MONTREAL - Losing second-line center Frans Nielsen for eight to 12 weeks with multiple leg injuries was a major blow to an Islanders team that struggles to generate offense. But rookie Josh Bailey stepped into Nielsen's spot on the second line and made a play that led to the Islanders' first goal in their 4-2 victory Saturday night in Buffalo.
