Victory. Sometimes, you just need to score some goals, get awesome goaltending, and well have a Calder Trophy candidate (or two) on your team, and you get...A WIN! Fredrik Norrena had a great night, stopping 30 of 32 shots. Brassard, Chimera, Murray, and Hejda all scored last night. Hejda scored his first goal in 115 games, and yes, it was his second goal in the NHL. Here’s the best quote of the night...

Columbus’s Fredrik Norrena has the eighth-worst winning percentage (minimum 10 shootouts) of all-time, while Calgary’s Miikka Kiprusoff holds the current record for longest...

I really don’t want to talk about the game from last night, which is probably why it took me until now to even post about it. Coming off a huge home opener win, we had one of the worst efforts I have seen from the Blue Jackets. Fredrik Norrena looked absolutely awful in net, and he admitted it. “I didn’t stop anything.” It was definitely a team loss though. We weren’t even trying, and even though we...

Puck-Rakers has revealed the roster for tomorrow night versus Chicago. Not really surprised that none of the big name players are in aside from our backup goalie, Fredrik Norrena. Norrena will likely get the start instead of LaCosta, just to get Freddy going. On defense they have mostly the young guys in:

Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Pascal Leclaire will miss at least two games with a head injury after he was hit in the head with a shot during warmups on Sunday. The club recalled Dan LaCosta from its American Hockey League affiliate in Syracuse on Monday to fill in for Leclaire. Fredrik Norrena will start for the Blue Jackets when they host Calgary on Tuesday night. LaCosta has a 7-2-3 record with...

After Pascal Leclaire got his fourth shutout on Thursday against St. Louis, and Fredrik Norrena got his first win of the season in a brutal, high-scoring game against Chicago on Tuesday, I concluded that there are now a couple sets of rules instead of just the "We win if we get a shutout/we lose if we don't." Here's how things go, nine games in: If Fredrik Norrena is in net: -The Blue Jackets will...
