AbitibiBowater is shutting down the No. 4 and No. 5 paper machine in Thunder Bay , Ontario later this month. The shutdown is indefinite and will affect 360 employees. Severance cheques will not be going out to the former workers of AbitibiBowater 's Grand Falls-Windsor mill in Newfoundland. AbitibiBowater has confirmed that the last paper will be produced at its Grand Falls-Windsor mill in Newfoundland on February 15th. There isn't enough demand to keep the mill operating any longer, said AbitibiBowater spokesman Jean-Philippe Coté .
