Nick Schultz points us to this interesting graphic on the private sector experience of presidential cabinets: The chart “”includes secretaries of State, Commerce, Treasury, Agriculture, Interior, Labor, Transportation, Energy, and Housing & Urban Development, and excludes Postmaster General, Navy, War, Health, Education & Welfare, Veterans Affairs, and Homeland Security—432...

With about five seconds left in regulation during last night’s game between the Minnesota Wild and the Colorado Avalanche with the score tied 2-2, David Jones laid what appeared to be an innocuous check on Wild defenseman Nick Schultz, forcing Schultz into the glass in front of the scorer’s table. Surprisingly, the glass exploded in a [...]

So this is what it must be like to be an Atlanta Thrashers fan. Hopefully the team can put together a strong game tonight against the equally-as-bad Vancouver Canucks. Luongo got pulled again last night, so there's the silver lining. To make things a bit more interesting, tonight I plan on taking a drink every time Nick Schultz turns the puck over. I might be hammered before the end of the first period....

We're pretty sure this list doesn't really prove anything, but we found it interesting ( Sorry, we're hockey geeks ). The following is a list of each team and the current and former captain they currently have on their training camp rosters. Each player is listed with the team(s) they captained: Team (Number of Players) Players (Team) Canuck (5) Pavol Demitra (Wild) Keith Carney-*(Wild) Roberto Luongo...

Reports surfaced yesterday that the Minnesota Wild were offering a package that included Mikko Koivu , Nick Schultz and Tyler Cuma to Ottawa for Dany Heatley and a sack of potatoes. Anyone who has an ounce of sense, including my 9 year old son, knows this to be a made up rumor. Here is my exchange with said 9 year old: Me: Someone is saying the Wild may trade The Captain for Dany Heatley . Son: That's...

Just got in from the Stompin' Tom concert. Here's the latest... Here we sit, the night before the deadline in the Dany Heatley sweepstakes and it sounds like the Minnesota Wild have tabled an offer that will be tough for Murray to turn down. While the proposed deal does not include stud defenceman Brent Bruns , it does apparently include Mikko Koivu , Nick Schultz and Tyler Cuma . Rumours are there...

from Michael Russo of the Star-Tribune, With former offensive defenseman Todd Richards set to become the Wild’s next coach, even Nick Schultz—known more for his defense on the back end—might have carte blanche to step up in the play. After a recent meeting with new GM Chuck Fletcher, Schultz was told the handcuffs were coming off. “I said, ‘Can you get your butt up ice?’”...

from Russo’s Rants, Late in the second period, Tucker and defenseman Nick Schultz clashed deep in the Wild’s zone. After the pushing match, the two lined up next to each other and Tucker began screaming at him as the Wild was on a penalty kill. Schultz was called off the ice on a line change and as he skated by, Tucker continued barking at him. Then, 6:33 into the third, in a despicable...
