John Stevens likes a player who can adapt. He calls them "guys who can move up and down the lineup and play in any situation." Last year, his main utility man was R.J. Umberger. Umberger, traded to Columbus at the draft for what ended up being Luca Sbisa, was effective in that role, even if he sometimes seemed frustrated and saw moving down as a demotion.
