For the second time during his tenure with the Rangers, Patrick Rissmiller has been placed on waivers by the Rangers, per TSN....assuming no one is going to claim him at $1 million per and he'll be headed to Hartford. Nice signing Sather.TSN also reports Tyler Arnason (for some reason listed under the Minnesota Wild) has also been waived....still scratching my head at the Arnason acquisition. Added...

Foudn via Kuklas Corner : The contract situation is the same as it has been for weeks. The Rangers have their one-year qualifying offer of $522,500 on the table to Dubinsky that represents nearly an 18-percent cut in pay from last year, when he earned $635,000, including Entry Level bonuses. Ha! I've enjoyed making fun of Sather in this space this summer, and if stuff like this keeps up there'll be...

While waiting to see what shakes out on free-agent centers such as Saku Koivu, the Rangers signed free agents Tyler Arnason and Corey Locke and re-signed P.A. Parenteau on Friday, with all three presumably destined for Hartford.

from Adrian Dater of All Things Avs, That was a disgrace to the game of hockey by the Burgundy and Royal Blue tonight. If this game didn’t get Francois Giguere reaching for the nearest phone to make calls around the league to talk a little trade, I don’t know what will. Tyler Arnason needs to go. Now. He needs to just go. The hope is gone. The experimentation phase is over. The “he’s...

Saw this yesterday and decided to save it for tonite’s extravaganza from the Ass Can. Adrian Dater, after several paragraphs devoted to the Dive’s number one center---Tyler Arnason---has this recommendation for the 14 die hard Denver fans left in his dear city. ...if I’m a fan of the Avs, I’m taking a good, stiff drink before tomorrow’s game. All the spritzers you can...

DENVER, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- Brett Clark took a Tyler Arnason pass in the slot and blew it past Phoenix goalie Ilya Bryzgalov 1:48 into overtime Tuesday, handing Colorado a 5-4. I made a fake and then I hit one hard, and fortunately it went into the net, Clark said of his game-winner. Paul Stastny, John-Michael Liles and Ryan Smyth each had a goal and two assists for the Avalanche, who have won five of...

If it weren't for injuries to a couple of key forwards, the Avalanche would have had personnel on its second line other than Tyler Arnason at center and T.J. Hensick at right wing.
