Just in case you wanted to know what Adam Foote did this summer… via the Huronia Business Times, NHL star Adam Foote was a Tottenham Dairy Queen employee on Aug. 7, as part of the company’s annual DQ Miracle Treat Day. All proceeds from the sales of Blizzard treats that day were donated to the Children’s Miracle Network.

Five year deal. He’s obviously not the offensive-minded d-man the Jackets still need, but he should fill the Adam Foote-sized shutdown defenseman hole pretty well. And he’s got some playoff experience, for whenever that becomes an issue with the Jackets. Hopefully some time in the next five years.
