It’s very difficult to trade away a young NHL player when his entry level contract expires. However, it’s made somewhat easier when the player in question gets progressively worse in each of his first 3 seasons. Andrej Meszaros is barely a number 5 defenceman but wanted to be paid as the number one. Topping it off was an apparent refusal to play with certain players. Uh-huh. Can’t wait to pay that...
