Bobby Holik and Brian Rolston, two members of the 1995 Stanley Cup Championship Devils' team, are coming back to Jersey, Devils' GM Lou Lamoriello announced today. Holik has played for the Rangers and Atlanta in his time away from the Devils. Rolston played in Colorado, Boston and Minnesota. Holik was also a member of the Devils' 2003 Stanley Cup Championship team.

From TSN: The New Jersey Devils are on the verge of signing free agent forward Brian Rolston to a four-year, $20 million contract. continued... Update 6:13pm ET: Tom Gulliti at Fire & Ice, A league source told The Record that Brian Rolston has decided to return to New Jersey and sign with the Devils. The contract is believed to be four years at $5 million per season. More details to come.

via TSN, The Tampa Bay Lightning gave it their best shot, but forward Brian Rolston is going to unrestricted free agency. Sources say Rolston informed the Lightning this morning that he would become an unrestricted free agent at 12 noon and see what the market will bear for his services.

I am also being told it’s looking more and more doubtful Rolston signs, although that could change. Brian Lawton and Len Barrie are using every ounce of persuasion they have.
