from Mike Toth of Sportsnet, In search of a soulmate ever since his brother-in-law Shayne Corson packed it in, Darcy Tucker may have found the answer in the mountain air of Colorado. After giving up his head coaching role when Joel Quenneville came aboard, Tony Granato is back as bench boss of the Avalanche and played a huge role in enticing Tucker to Denver.... Unless Joe Sakic returns, it could be...

from Terry Frei at ESPN, When bought-out players hit the market this June, potential “bargains” became available. Among those with severance packages, so to speak, Todd Bertuzzi signed with Calgary, Darcy Tucker and Andrew Raycroft went to Colorado, and Marc Denis agreed to a deal with his hometown Canadiens.... The X factor is how ruthless or passive the player and his agent are when negotiating the...

Several bought-out players hit the market this June and became relative bargains for teams who missed out on big free-agent prizes. But will players such as Darcy Tucker, Andrew Raycroft and Marc Denis pay off over the long haul?

I'm paying jack shit attention to hockey these days -- other concerns, and the Avalanche and Thrashers have done nothing (Darcy Tucker? Ron Hainsey') to make me giddy about the upcoming season. But I'm always up for a good jersey, especially when it's an old Czech jersey. This lovely ensemble is a HC Zetor Brno jersey, from the late 1980s. I've wanted one of these for a while -- a couple have gone...

Shane from Colorado Avalanche Talk submits: Well, I think that’ll do it for the Avs today. They picked up Andrew Raycroft and Darcy Tucker, both cast-offs from Toronto, and officially announced the signing of Per Ledin. So now we have to wait for a decision from Joe Sakic and the RFAs to truly see where this [...]

from Eric Francis of the Calgary Sun, Darcy Tucker, a Calgary Flame. Love it or hate it, it might just be a perfect fit. No, it hasn’t happened yet and, no, we’re not suggesting it absolutely will. But you can bet it’s a possibility—an intriguing one—GM Darryl Sutter is looking into as he prepares for the start of the free agent freeze Tuesday. After all, Sutter tried to trade for Tucker just a few...

by Mike Jack , Staff Writer General Manager, Cliff Fletcher has accumulated quite the pile of money by relinquishing the likes of Darcy Tucker, Andrew Raycroft, Hal Gill , Chad Kilger, Kyle Wellwood and Wade Belak. 1. I’m not backing down from my Darcy Tucker stance. I may be a village of 1 but I’m sticking to my guns. I like the fact that people don’t like him. I like that he can score. And considering my original suggestion of 4/year was way inflated and, frankly, stupid. I like it even more. 2. The Cap’s been raised up to 56 and change. And George Malik has something to say about it. Don’t blame the players...
