My last post mentioned Leaf jerseys and lead to some comments from fans with odd jersey choices. One guy had Jason Blake, another was thinking of getting a Jeff Finger jersey, and another had an old Sylvain Lefebvre. Well, I'm pretty sure I can beat that. I mentioned this over at Die Hard Blue and White , but now it's time to tell the Craig Berube story. In 1991, I decided to ask for a new Leafs jersey...

Leafs call up Deveaux When DGB says jump MLSE listens. Steve has the scoop on the Leafs' own Milan Lucic. No pressure kid and Jason Blake is the one sitting because of the injury sustained in the latest unpunished dirty hit against the Leafs.

"Every single day, you ask the same questions. You know the amazing thing? You've never asked me once about what we're doing in practice. 'What was that drill?' No one's ever asked that. It's always, 'What's Jason Blake going to do tomorrow? Where's Brian Burke having dinner tonight?' You don't really talk about the actual X's and O's of the game. I find that kind of strange. So, then I wonder, maybe...

from Damien Cox of the Toronto Star, For starters, Burke doesn’t despise small players, but he doesn’t want many of ‘em. Maybe one or two. Maybe Mikhail Grabovski can stick around, but not Grabovski and Alex Steen and Jiri Tlusty and Jason Blake and Matt Stajan. He doesn’t terribly mind Europeans. Right now, the Ducks have two, Teemu Selanne and Sammy Pahlsson. The Leafs have 11 Europeans, only two...

Hopefully Blake has had his wake up call. Leading 3-2, Jason Blake assisted on Ian White's goal for some much needed cushion. Throw in a goal and we've got a great effort from an underachieving winger who was a healthy scratch in Calgary I heard on The Fan 590 this morning that we were above .500. I'd just like to remind everyone that the total in the third column is not ties but losses for...

Little known fact: Jason Blake can be a real pest. That attribute is what helped him score 40 goals with the New York Islanders two seasons ago. That attribute has been missing from his game in a season and a bit with Toronto.
