While we can finally say, "There's hockey next month," with news around here a little slow, I've been writing a bit more over at FanHouse, including taking a look at Pascal Leclaire as the next Martin Brodeur, "Fightin'" Fedor Fedorov, who's dumping on the Minnesota Wild now, marketing the Boston Bruins and what people aren't saying about Scotty Bowman's move to Chicago. Check it out, and feel

from Brian Costello of the Hockey News, The fact of the matter is if I’m an NHL GM and I’m starting up a team and I have one year to win a championship, Huet is not among the top 10 goalies I’d pick to be my starter. Here are 10 goalies I wouldn’t hesitate picking before Huet: Martin Brodeur, Roberto Luongo, Miikka Kiprusoff, Evgeni Nabokov, Henrik Lundqvist, J-S Giguere, Ryan Miller, Ilya Bryzgalov,...

When I handicapped the Vezina race in the later part of the season, I saw it as a race between Martin Brodeur of the New Jersey Devils and Roberto Luongo of the Vancouver Canucks. Luongo faded right at the end, due in part to his worry over his wife's complicated pregnancy and the Canucks missing the playoffs. That left Martin Brodeur as the Vezina winner by a reasonable margin, in my opinion.

No question, ‘The Dominator’ was a great goalie(but if given a choice, I’d take Martin Brodeur) and is destined for the Hall of Fame. This after Hasek had to wait seven years after his being selected in the NHL Draft before being able to play in the NHL. That mostly due to the fact he [...]

Bubba From Canes Country Sounds Off! The New York Rangers eliminated the New Jersey Devils on Friday night and something different happened during the traditional hand-shake ceremony. Martin Brodeur refused to shake Sean Avery’s hand and passed him by, while shaking everyone else’s hand. Pretty funny stuff. Avery wasn’t amused though and called out Brodeur in the [...]
