I have been a fan of Michael's for a long time now going back to when he drove the #30 Country Time Lemonade Pontiac for Chuck Rider. Dale Earnhardt's belief in him to drive the #15 NAPA Chevy was realized in the races he won for DEI. However, when Michael announced his plans for the #55, I wasn't confident at all. Tony Stewart, driver of the #20 The Home Depot Chevrolet, won the first Gatorade Duel race this afternoon at Daytona, and Jeff Gordon, driver of the #24 DuPont Chevrolet won the second race. However, after the second race was over Gordon's car was disqualified because the rear of the car was too low. There was no surprise when NASCAR's reprimand was for him to start 42nd in the Daytona 500 on Sunday....
