Two Things: 1. Jill Sixpack does some math: The Hammes Co. has scaled back its plan for the Edgewater redevelopment, from $109 million to $90 million. However, they are still asking for the full $16 in TIF funding that Mayor Dave Cieslewicz included in his capital budget. ...Going from 15% taxpayer funding to 18% taxpayer funding... Huh, funny how that works. If they are scaling back the plan...maybe...

British sports car company Ultima claims to have a Top Gear lap record of 1 min 9.9sec., which beats Michael Schumacher’s 1 min. 10.7sec. lap in a Ferrari FXX. However, Ultima’s attempt was unofficial. Reportedly, Ultima had booked out the test track and completed a circuit in a GTR720 road car with that speed.

While Felipe Massa has basically recovered from his crash several months ago, he is still unable to return to avoid the risk of a secondary head trauma. Massa reveals however that the reason Michael Schumacher, his supposed replacement, called off his comeback was because of a vision problem.

Ferrari is increasing its efforts for teams to be permitted to run three cars in Formula One next year. Although Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo was “very disappointed” that Michael Schumacher won’t be able to race this year, he said that he’s anticipating that Schumacher will be able to do so next year.
