Filed under: Motorsports , Hirings/Firings/Layoffs , Toyota Up until a few years ago, seeing a driver switch from one motorsport discipline to another was practically unheard of. A Formula One driver might compete at Le Mans, sure, but with few exceptions, that was about the extent of it. Now we've got drivers interested in switching between F1, rallying and even motorbikes in a big game of musical...

Filed under: Motorsports , Hirings/Firings/Layoffs , Rumormill Crashing in Formula One is taken pretty seriously. Especially if you did it on purpose. Which goes a long way towards explaining why the motorsport community is calling for the blood of Nelson Piquet Jr. The disgraced Renault driver was, in the end, the perpetrator of the so-called Crashgate affair. But while his boss and manager Flavio...

It seemed like it wasn't quite a done deal for a moment, but Force India have now confirmed that Vitantonio Liuzzi will replace Giancarlo Fisichella at Monza. Those who have long wondered whether he got a fair crack of the whip at Toro Rosso will be pleased to see him get a second chance with Vijay Mallya's team, which appears much improved of late. Certainly it will be interesting to see how he stacks...

Scott Speed an egotistical former F1 highbrow? Hardly. In the Sprint Cup garage, he's just one of the dudes. A dude who also serves as national spokesman for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.

Scott Speed during the Hungarian Grand Prix in 2006. Speed drove for Toro Rosso until his relationship with the team deteriorated and he was asked to leave. This is eerily similar to the current situation with Sebastien Bourdais (although with less alleged violence, it has to be said). It was the Red Bull Racing team of Brian Vickers and rookie Scott Speed led us to the start of the [...]
