According to the British newspaper 'The Guardian', Pat Symonds is joining Flavio Briatore's appeal against his motorsport ban. Symonds was banned by the FIA for five years, while Briatore received a life ban for the Singapore 2008 crash-gate scandal.

The FIA imposed a two-year suspended ban on Renault for being involved in fixing the result of last year’s Singapore Grand Prix. Flavio Briatore and Pat Symonds have received bans from motorsport as well. FIA’s World Motor Sport Council members were in a meeting in Paris recently.
