The Brazilian qualifying session was halted once more by a red flag situation. This time it was not the heavy rain, but a big crash of Force India F1 Team driver Vitantonio Liuzzi. The Italian touched the wall in the finish line straight and was catapulted to the other side of the track where he came to a stop with only one wheel left on his car.
