Kenan Sofuoglu set the fastest time in second session of free practice for the World Supersport class, deposing Kawasaki's Joan Lascorz with a late run. Lascorz had previously done exactly the same to Cal Crutchlow, after the Yamaha rider had topped the timesheets for much of the session. Eugene Laverty finished behind Crutchlow once again, but as in previous sessions, the difference was minimal....

Kenan Sofuoglu leads the way in the World Supersport class at Portimao, taking over the lead in the dying minutes of practice. The Ten Kate Honda rider demoted Cal Crutchlow into 2nd, ahead of the man challenging Crutchlow for the title, Eugene Laverty.
