Now let's just hope those people behind London 2012 will include rope skipping as one of the sports. China and...

For those of us who love table tennis – its intricacy and intelligence, speed and subtlety – it was a joy to be in Beijing last month when the sport stood in the spotlight of the Olympic Games. Many of us have spent lifetimes enduring the mirth of those who reckon it is not much of a sport.

Since both tennis and table tennis are in the Olympics, perhaps you're wondering: if there's soccer, why not "table soccer?" Of course, we know table soccer by another name; and while foosball may not be an Olympic sport, we still cheered Nathan Johns and Jan Backes â"two members of our Search Quality teamâ"as they brought home the foosball silver medal at the search engine foosball smackdown at...

Matthew Syed, former Olympic table tennis player and current contributor to the UK's The Times , produced an enlightening article on sex in the Olympic Village that mixes his personal experience with the vibe of these Olympic Games. And that vibe is: people be humpin' . And then there were the female athletes - literally thousands of them - strutting, shimmying, sashaying and jogging around the village,...

Water Polo - Something fun to do at the pool. Table Tennis - Definitely not Ping Pong. Wrestling - has nothing to do with the bogus stuff on TV, which shouldn't be call wrestling. ~ I'm not really interested in the baseball,...

Officials in table tennis's governing body, disappointed with the lackluster crowds at the Olympics (held in the country where the sport is most popular), are looking to garner more interest in the women who paddle balls so well. Their solution: more skin and tighter clothing . Oh sure, but when I tell that to women I'm the asshole. “We are trying to push the players to use skirts and also nicer shirts,...
