It has been tough for Marlins catcher Matt Treanor, right, with his beach volleyball-playing wife becoming a star and being thrown into the rumor mill. For example, when Misty May-Treanor, inset, rekindled her friendship with NBA star Jason Kidd at the Beijing Olympics, bloggers took notice and Treanor reportedly became jealous. Now his wife is paired with Maksim Chmerkovskiy in "Dancing with the Stars,"...

To be honest, I’m glad the Olympics are over. For me, the events and coverage didn’t live up to the hype and anticipation. If you watch NBC, then the Olympics only consisted of swimming/diving, gymnastics, volleyball and some track and field. As a track fan, I never knew when they were going to show any of the events. Maybe I didn’t do a good enough job of searching on my end. I’m sure it didn’t help...

I can honestly say I watched more television in the past two weeks than I have all summer. It seemed like each night of the Olympic games was must see television for me. I found myself being captivated by race walking, handball and volleyball: sports I wouldn’t be caught dead watching any other night out of the year. Part of my two week obsession with the summer games involved my sleep schedule taking...

As I watched the Olympics, it seemed as though athletes in just about every sport were seen sporting that wide tape on shoulders, arms, legs, knees, etc. First, we saw gold medal winner in beach volleyball, Kerri Walsh, sporting it on her shoulder and everyone was asking what was on her shoulder. I have seen it since on a variety of athletes in volleyball, basketball, track and others. Alex Mumbru...

In a house where the female-to-male ratio is 3-to1, the most exciting aspect of the Olympics for my family was Michael Phelps. My girls and I - we are Phelps Phans. We watched volleyball, race walking (great athletes, but really made us giggle), gymnastics, fencing, you know, the non-Michael events, but swimming, it was clearly the highlight for us. My teenage daughter, Bay, [...]
